Grammy asked me to slather on some sun block for her at the beach. It's a good idea for everyone so we don't get badly burned and possibly end up with skin problems or worse later in life.

At the Fort Worth Zoo we were able to go inside the bird cage and have the birds come to us to be fed. They are so cute! Maybe just a little bit too aggressive though. They certainly weren't afraid of me!

Oooh! The sea monsters were so scary! We were afraid to go into the water. One of the really huge whales was even wearing a two-piece! It was horrible!

Here's a picture of Blake and myself waiting to board our flight to Texas. It was our first time on an airplane and we were so excited we wanted to telephone somebody and tell them. How quaint, a pay telephone! Never saw one of these before! Hand me a cell phone so I can call a friend and tell her about this!

Sometimes we play doctor or hospital. Usually I'm the doctor, but here I'm being the patient and am getting a shot. I can be brave, but I'd much rather be a giver than a receiver!

Nana, Blake and I went to this Waffle House for breakfast almost every day while we were in Texas. There weren't any Belgian Waffles on the menu that I can recall. I don't know why we don't have any of these restaurants back home. I wish we did.

At the Fort Worth Zoo you can be inside the cage with the birds! It's sort of like swimming with sharks, but just a tad safer. Here I am, face to face with a live descendant of dinosaurs! You do have to stay aware of what's above you, though.

Gonna get my bogey down! Surf riding is so cool. Especially in the ice cold waters of the Atlantic Ocean in June! Brrrr!

Here are my friends, Meadow and Caroline, enjoying ice cream cones during our party at Acorn School. What fun! Except yesterday was our last day at school. Now we have the summer off. Hopefully we'll see each other during our vacation! We had a great school year together.

Blake and I were the only two kids at the beach in Ogunquit. And nobody was in the water at all! It was cold for this time of year, but today, when this is being posted, it's supposed to hit 90° here. Just my luck!

See it? Right there next to my fingernail. See my wound? I was attacked! ATTACKED, I tell you! Innocently I put my finger into the cage to feel the hen's feathers and WHAM! I was savagely and brutally henpecked! Know the feeling?  Thank goodness Mom had this emergency lollipop handy.
