I invited Daddy to come inside my UV Protector Tent to check it out. Next thing I knew, Grammy Sue was taking pictures of us! I didn't even have enough time to pose properly! Britney, I feel your pain.

Uncle Brent's friend Nicole thought this hairdo would help cool me down. I'm not sure. I know I'm hot, but this looks to me as if I had been struck by lightning. My great uncle Paul's house was actually hit by lightning last Saturday. Bet it would have done this to my hair then, also.

Oooh, this feels refreshing. I know this is called a water table, but it works better for me as a spa. When it's 93° out, this is the place to be. Da-da, would you freshen up the water, please?

Papa did I hear you correctly? Would you please repeat that, because I could swear it almost sounded as if what you said to me was, "No?"

Here we are at something called a water table preparing for our cookout, Camille, yours truly, Ava, and Auntie Kim. Before you ask, No, I am not wearing some kind of new designer hat. It's a towel draped over a lawn chair behind me that seems as if it's part of my sun bonnet. Think I could market this look to the French Foreign Legion? It would definitely enliven the whole surrendering experience for them. Photo by Mommy.

I drove pretty well, didn't I Mommy? Wanna see me do it again? Okay, Mommy? Please?

Umm, Mommy? I feel my space is being invaded. And this big purple dinosaur will not budge! I'd rather ride this train by myself. Can you pry him out of here? Can Chuck E. Cheese ask him to get out? Mommy?

Pay close attention, this could save your life. When attempting to ride bareback on a Colby cat, you must always mount from the right side of the animal. Not the left, as you would on a horse. This is assuming that the cat has already been saddle broken and is happier to be ridden bareback. Do not attempt this without an adult, like Mommy, around to take your picture, or offer assistance if you should be thrown off either during mounting, or on the subsequent ride. Got it? Reread as needed. Enjoy your ride. Oh, almost forgot. Never ride a cat when it climbs a tree.

Okay, I know I'm little, but help me with this. Finally the sun came out and Mommy let me play in the sprinkler. I love it. I love the water. It's fun. Now here's the hard part. For days and days it rained. Mommy told me I couldn't go out and play while it was raining because I'd get wet! Am I missing something here? Photo by Mommy.

Hee, hee. No, Mommy. I only have this remote so I can select whatever TV channel you want to watch. Honest. I would never ever think it was a toy. Not me. I know better. Is there a particular show you'd like to see? I'll press the buttons for you. Oh, Yes, and thank you for taking my picture, Mommy. You take beautiful pictures. What kind of camera is that? Does it have buttons to press?

Gee, every time I start to run away some big person catches me and brings me back. Here's Grandpa Dave after just catching me. It's not fair. He runs much more than I do and catches me easily. Nana Jan snapped the picture. She runs and catches me too. I just can't win! I'm gonna demand a bigger head start.

Don't worry Uncle Brent, push back in further, I'll zip up the door and protect you from that ferocious Colby cat stalking the area! Hurry! It looks like he's ready for a meal...again! Photo taken at a safe distance by Nana Jan with her long zoom lens.

But Nana, when I touch it it breaks! Pieces fly away on the breeze into the sky and I'll never see them again. Nana, why isn't it yellow? Nana, why is it so soft? Nana, why can you pick this flower and I can't pick Mommy's? Nana, why is it called a dandy lion? It doesn't look like a lion. Nana, can we pick another one? Nana, can I hold it this time? Huh, Nana, huh? Nana, are you glad I can't ask you all these questions yet? Photo by Grammy Sue.

Think I'm enjoying this? Mommy took me to a park nearby and I learned there are all kinds of neat things to play with, and on, that I've never seen before. Swings, tubes, stairs, forts and lots of other kids are here. I had so much fun that I really hated to leave. I can't wait to come back here to play again. Photo by Mommy.
