Daddy caught on to my little dodge, so here I am helping him dig this big hole in the sand at the beach. He hasn't told me what it's for, but as soon as I find out, I'll let you know, also.

Ha, ha. I've got this whole beach thing figured out. While I sit here enjoying some yogurt, Daddy's digging away in the sand making a huge hole. All I have to do is keep smiling when he looks up and somehow make this little yogurt snack last until he's all finished digging.

Grandpa Dave is elevating me to new heights. I'm just trying to get a look at the newly repaired steeple on the church in Market Square, Portsmouth. Looks pretty good from up here, too.

How much longer before the music starts? I'm waiting for the concert to begin at Newburyport's Yankee Homecoming but nothing's happening. I bet I could go up on that stage and sing to the early gatherers. My repertoire includes "Hot Potato" and "Happy Birthday." What else do I need?

Auntie Ann came over with Nana Jan to babysit Blake and me. She didn't know I can make a slide out of almost anything I can climb up on. She knows now!

Let me see, Grammy Sue let me play with these and I think I saw her doing this with these thing-a-ma-jigs. Do these measure My interpupillary distance? Or will they turn the end of my nose up? I wonder.

Gee, whenever there's water around I'm instantly drawn to it. I just hope the kids I hang around with as I grow older don't nickname me, "Dowser."

Here I am with Maddie and Olivia at their camp in Poland Springs, Maine. They're two of Leanne's daughters, a childhood friend of Mommy. We're searching for frogs and fish, but I've noticed an enormous bug crawling up Olivia's arm to her shoulder. I can't take my eyes off it. She doesn't seem to even notice it! Doesn't she have any fear at all?

It's okay, Daddy. You don't have to grab the wheel. I can drive this car all by myself. I've watched Mommy do it hundreds of times. Wait! We have to go back! There's no radio!

Ha, ha. I can ride down this curling tube slide all by myself. Mommy only has to wait at the bottom to watch me slide out. Blake can't do this yet. Maybe next year I can help him to learn this. If Mommy says so, of course.

My Great Grandmother Olive just had a birthday and we all helped her celebrate it. I won't tell her age, but I will say that there's only 85 years difference between us girls. Keep it a secret, okay?

Whee! This is fun. Daddy's right, this is the best time to come to beautiful Ogunquit beach. No crowds. No pesky lifeguards. No hot sun to worry about. Just the beautiful cloud formations, roaring surf, slight rumblings of thunder in the background, and not a single sighting of a Great White Shark in the last two hours we've been here. We love it!

Blake, Mommy, Daddy and I went to Ogunquit to visit Grandpa Dave and Grammy Sue during their vacation. I can't seem to smile right while I'm eating and Blake is still having some difficulty figuring out the best way to wear his new beach sunglasses. He'll get it eventually. Oh, yeah, as soon as the tide comes in we'll be near the water, I think.

Oooh, Daddy! Does it tickle when the duck nibbles at your fingers? Does it hurt? Can I feed her? Will she bite me? Can she fly? Does she swim? Where are her babies? Where does she live? What else does she eat? Can we bring her home with us? Does she...
